The Bosch Engineering Centre of Budapest has been established in 2001. Today, it is a major research and development hub within the Bosch world focusing on the big mobility trends: automated, electrified and connected mobility. More than 2100 engineers are working together on complex automotive products within various fields of engineering from software to mechanical and hardware product development. In a state-of-the-art passenger car, more than 100 control units communicate using various bus systems like CAN, LIN and Ethernet. At the heart of this complex network, the dashboard instrument panel serves as user interface to the driver, using the latest in display technology, driven by a powerful real-time embedded system, handling ten thousands of functional requirements from our customers, the premium car makers of the world. At the borderline between the car industry’s real-time, reliability and safety requirements and the consumer electronics world of 3D graphics animations and yearly leaps in computing power, we develop innovative solutions in an international team with our partners in Germany, India and Portugal. In order to fulfill the rapidly rising demand for our products, we are continuously searching for additional team members in several of our SW development project teams.
Functional Safety according to ISO26262 / ASIL is becoming increasingly important in this context. We are facing challenging technical tasks like representing safety critical information within a complex HMI on a TFT display or even a Head-Up Display, developing the safety concept for interior camera systems or ensuring sub-second time constraints on a graphical subsystem that is running at the limits of its performance. Next to this the Car Multimedia organization needs to be further developed and transformed towards functional safety to be inherently woven into our daily development work.
Your contribution to something big
►Definition of the safety concept of digital instrument cluster and interior camera projects according to safety standards
►Performing safety analysis of the instrument cluster / interior camera subsystems
►Creating safety documentation
►Co-work in the creation of FMEA, FMEDA and FTA
►Management of safety relevant OEM requests
►Presentation of safety concept to internal and external customers
►Working together with hardware, software, mechanic and system team
What distinguishes you
►University degree in engineering (Electrical, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics or similar)
►Advanced level English in written and oral (German skills are beneficial)
►Knowledge of functional safety standard ISO26262 / ASIL
►Experience in automotive industry or a field with similar reliability requirements
►Versatility, openness to work on new topics, proactive and disciplined working style, quality focus
►Self-management and ability to work on several topics in parallel
►Initiative and creativity, persuasion and assertiveness and social skills
►Enjoy working in an international team
What gives you further advantages
►Experience in quality methods like FMEA, FMEDA or FTA
►Experience with ASPICE process maturity model
►Solid understanding of software engineering principles (V-model, SW architectures, etc.)
